This is my art "studio". It is shameful. Two years ago, I moved two lovely little reading chairs and a lamp and table from my pretty bay window in my living room. I created a place to paint and draw and fiddle around. TWO YEARS AGO! How many times do you think I have used this area for the purpose it was intended? Maybe five. Five times, that's it. It is a hot spot of clutter. I can't even let my girls up there because it is usually covered with so much nonsense. There are times when I want to work on something and then I look at that mountain of mess and I turn away in disgust, stripped of my creative motivation. Bummer.
Well, "no more!", I say. I have made this my new challenge. I will organize all of my materials (and the girls stuff too). I will not allow it to become a dumping ground for half-done art projects. I will KEEP THIS TABLE TOP CLEAR! I will paint and draw and fiddle around to my heart's content. I will feel grateful to have such an inspiring little nook to work in.
Now, I am off to get started.
Check back soon.
